My laptop was in the shop for a dead screen for two weeks. The intense feeling of being disconnected from my online habits was extremely uncomfortable for the first few days. I’ve adjusted over the past few weeks and swooped in to use Nate’s laptop when it’s free. Finding a laptop repair service in Manhattan – not easy and very expensive. I can’t quite give up on it and buy a new computer. With Santa Barbara just a few weeks away I’d rather spend my vacation money on vacation. Lame post and infrequent updates – apologies. Will be back soon.

My dad tells me when I blog I make things sound like a fairytale.
So – this one’s for you dad.
The five things that sucked this week:
1. My commute coming home from work through Times Square (aka hell on earth)
2. Being unable to spend less than $50 a day just from leaving the house
3. The strange smell on Lenox Avenue in the morning. What is that?
4. Getting shoved so hard I nearly fell over, just trying to leave the Union Square station
5. A simple plan for a trip to Scranton in December turned into a tiff that ruined Friday night
